Property Rules and Event Guidelines

Ensuring safety for all onsite attendees (vendors and guests) is of the utmost importance. The State of California has issued Industry Guidance for Private Venues & Events to support a safe clean environment for workers, clients and guests. The full Guidance can be found HERE.

 

We want to make our complaint events as smooth as possible for our clients and vendors alike. Below is our Property Rules and Event Guidelines. 

 

1. CAPACITIES

All events are limited to 90 guests. All events are closed events and will not allow walk-ups.

 

2. SOUND ORDINANCE

Amplified sound must cease at 10PM. This pertains to any and all live music, bands, DJ’s and personal playlists on professional audio equipment. The ordinance applies to our event space and home.

 

3. CATERER & BAR SERVICE

Caterer must do a site visit and be approved by Aterno Estate prior to your event. The caterer is not permitted to use the kitchen for service or preparation for events with 25+ guests. They must setup on the exterior of the home. The kitchen oven may be used only to keep food warm. If buffet style dining or bar service is provided, food and drink must be served to guests (no self-service). The caterer and/or bar service are responsible for staffing accordingly and must provide a Certificate of Insurance.

4. ALCOHOL

You are welcome to provide your own alcohol. There are no corkage fees. We require you to hire an insured bartender if serving alcohol for all events larger than 50 guests.

 

5. DRINKING WATER

Vendors shall bring their own drinking water. Drinking water should be available to guests by the host of the event. We are on well water and do not recommend drinking from our faucets.

6. EVENT PLANNER & ASSIGNED SEATING

All events with more the 40 guests are required to have at least a Day of Coordinator or Event Planner. A family friend does not meet our criteria for a professional planner. Your Planner must provide a Certificate of Insurance. The event planner will be responsible for managing a seating chart. All seats must be assigned.

 

7. GUEST & VENDOR LIST

The hosts or event planner will submit the final attendee list and vendor list (including names of the staff members onsite for the event) to Aterno Estate 30 days prior to the event date.

 

8. REHEARSAL DINNER + DAY AFTER BRUNCH

We gladly welcome rehearsal dinners and day after brunch at Aterno Estate with an additional fee. See our pricing guide. All events with less than 22 guests are included.

 

9. NO SMOKING 

Absolutely no smoking is permitted at Aterno Estate by guests or vendors. 

 

10. PETS

Well mannered pets are allowed with a signed pet waiver and additional pet fee prior to event. 

 

11. CHILDREN

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 

 

12. TRASH

All trash must be placed in the onsite dumpster (if available) or trash cans located in the garage. 

 

13. CONFETTI, CANDLES, SPARKLERS & MORE

Bubbles, fresh or dried rose petals, sterilized bird seed, lavender buds, and native flower petals are allowed. They create great pictures! Confetti, rice, fireworks, sparklers, tiki-torches, and glitter are not permitted. No open flame candles are allowed. All candles must be contained in a glass container that extends one inch above flame level.

14. OUTDOOR VENUE

Aterno Estate is a primarily outdoor venue. Guests do not have  access to the interior hallways/bedrooms of the home during the event. One exception: Overnight guests staying in the home

 

15. RESTROOMS

For all events larger than 40 guests, we require at least a two trailer restroom on the property for guest and vendor use. The interior restrooms are not available for guests or vendors.

16. OVERNIGHT PARKING

Vehicles left overnight will be towed at owner’s expense if not retrieved within 24 hours of the event. No overnight lodging (RV’s or camping) is permitted on the property.

 

17. FACE COVERINGS

All Vendors are required to wear face coverings at all times while working onsite in the event space. Any vendors who do not comply will be asked to leave immediately. Each vendor will be responsible for supplying masks to their staff. Makes must be worn properly and cover both the nose and mouth. Face shields require a mask be worn underneath.

 

18. VENDOR COMPLIANCE

Under no circumstance, may vendors consume alcohol, drugs, or smoke while working onsite. We have a strict No Tolerance Policy for this. Any vendor who partakes in such activity will not be welcomed back to work at Aterno Estate.

 

19. COVID WAVIER

All attendees and vendors must complete our COVID waiver to be allowed onsite.

 

20. INSURANCE

Vendors should provide proof of insurance naming Aterno Estate & Angelia Palmieri (725 Spring Creek Way, Templeton) and Agape Luxury Property Rentals (1256 Buchon Street, San Luis Obispo) as additional insured. 

 

21. GOVERNMENT & COUNTY GUIDELINES

Vendors, hosts and guests will comply with the CDPH COVID-19 Industry Guidance: Private Venues and Events and San Luis Obispo County and California State mandates for Private Events.

 

22. TESTING or VACCINATION TRACKING

All guests are required to show proof of a negative test or full vaccination to the host of the event. All vendors are required to have a negative test result or full vaccination to be onsite.

 

All attendee and vendors must have one of the three options complete:

  • Proof of negative antigen COVID-19 test taken within SIX hours of the event start time

  • Proof of negative PCR COVID-19 test taken with 72 hours of the day of the event. 

  • Proof of full vaccination, which means, the day of your event must be at least 14 days after your second dose of the Pfizer-BioNtech or Modern COVID-19 vaccine or at least 14 days after your single dose of the Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine.
